The Norwegian Explorers 2023 Annual Meeting and Dinner

We'll celebrate the season and hold a brief business meeting along with enjoying the traditional English dinner. The evening will feature Canonical Toasts, a keynote speaker, presentation of this year's Sigerson Awards, poems, limericks, carols, etc. Attendees will receive a limited edition copy of the much-anticipated and coveted Norwegian Explorers Christmas Annual.
Dr. Daniel Friedman will be our keynote speaker for this event and will speak on the topic of "The Enduring Legacy of Joe Bell in Medicine, Mystery, and Literature." Dan is co-author of "The Strange Case of Dr. Doyle" and "Doyle’s World: Lost and Found." His literary contributions span a wide array of publications, exploring diverse topics including Egyptology, comic book heroes and legends, Jack the Ripper, Sherlock Holmes, and the esteemed Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. During his leisure time, he is a singer/songwriter and bass guitarist with the Friedman Brothers Band. He also holds the role of lead vocalist for the New Jersey-based ensemble Ignite the Atmosphere. He is a pediatrician practicing in Floral Park, New York, and serves as an assistant clinical professor at the Northwell-Hofstra University Medical School.
